FAQs

Singpass is Singapore citizens’ and residents' trusted digital identity for convenient and secure access to thousands of government and private sector services, online and in person.

If you have set up your Singpass 2FA, you can reset your password instantly online:

1. Visit the Singpass Portal

2. Select 'Services' on the top scroll bar

3. Select 'Reset password' and enter your NRIC or FIN details, followed by Singpass Face Verification or SMS One-Time Password

4. Create your new Singpass password

Alternatively, you may request for a PIN mailer to be sent to your registered address. You will receive your PIN mailer in 3 working days.

1. Download the Singpass app from the official app stores (Check that the developer is Government Technology Agency before you download the app).

2. Launch the app and complete a one-time setup (You will need to verify your identity using a One-Time Password (OTP) sent via SMS or Face Verification to activate the app).

Before you register for a Singpass account, please complete these two steps:

1. Check that you fulfil the following eligibility requirements:

- You are at least 15 years old,

- You are a Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident or Foreign Identification Number (FIN) holder.

2. Ensure that the address had been updated with the relevant authorities.

To register for a Singpass account,

- Visit Singpass Portal > Select 'Register for Singpass' under Services

- Register instantly with Singpass Face Verification or Request for a One-Time Password PIN mailer

- The One-Time Password PIN mailer will be mailed to your registered address within 3 working days.
