Ability to send mass emails and SMS messaging

Postman enables government agencies to distribute official messages through two communication channels

• Postman Legacy is a free alternative to mail merge. Postman Legacy allows users a quick and easy way to send mass eDMs to recipients. Images and links can be embedded in the eDMs. All eDMs have an official header and footer to identify the email as legitimate. Users can also choose to display their agency logo in the eDM. Over 13 million emails have been sent to date.
• Postman v2 is mainly used for sending official SMSes carrying the “gov.sg” sender ID, in line with the BTN mandate. 96% of time-sensitive SMSes are sent within 2 minutes. Over 40 million SMSes have been delivered to date

Ability to track delivery rates

Tracking is available for both email and SMS channels, within the user’s Postman dashboard.

SMS API integrations possible on Postman v2

To allow programmatic SMS users access to the “gov.sg” sender ID, Postman v2 allows for API integrations useful for system-triggered messages like OTPs and booking confirmations.
