Features
Documnt issuance options
Government agencies can issue documents through either agency backend API integration or SFTP, and they have the option to send the same set of documents to multiple recipients if needed.
Document formats
Government agencies can issue documents in PDF or ZIP file formats, and for documents requiring verification, they can use the OA file format. OA is an open-source framework designed to endorse and verify documents.
Password protection for documents
- Government agencies can choose to issue documents with password protection. Recipients will be provided with a randomly generated password, ensuring that downloaded copies of the document remain secure and accessible only to them.
Limited access window for documentation
Government agencies can issue documents with a restricted access window. Recipients can view or download the document only for a specified period, after which it will be automatically removed from their FileSG account.
Terms and Conditions (T&Cs) acknowledgement
Government agencies can issue documents with a T&Cs acknowledgement request. Recipients must accept the T&Cs before they are permitted to view or download the document.
Notification options for document issuance
Government agencies can notify document recipients via email or Singpass Notify about the issuance of documents.
Document retrieval methods
Members of the public can easily retrieve documents issued by various government agencies through their FileSG account using Singpass. Those without a Singpass account (such as foreigners or students) can access their documents individually by entering a unique Transaction ID and verifying their identity via 2FA. Additionally, documents can be accessed seamlessly from government agency platforms through Single Sign-On (SSO) integration with FileSG.
Document verification
Government agencies and third parties, such as businesses, can verify documents issued in the OA (OpenAttestation) file format via FileSG Verify. Verification can be done by scanning the QR code on the OA document or uploading the OA file. The verification result will be displayed in real-time if the QR code or OA file is valid.
Customisable document availability
Government agencies can set expiration dates for issued documents, specifying how long they should remain accessible to recipients before being archived or removed. This feature helps optimise storage space, manage costs, and ensure that only relevant and important documents are retained.
