CFT is a backend system-to-system file transfer service. As a tenant or subscriber, you can transfer files to and from HTTPS systems or SFTP systems.
File transfers in CFT can be understood using the airport luggage screening process as an analogy.
A transfer can occur across different zones, such as between the internet and intranet. Each file transfer is one-way only. Consequently, to exchange files between System A and System B, you’ll need two separate workflows:
- Workflow 1: System A sends a file to System B.
- Workflow 2: System B updates the file and sends it back to System A.
