Dr. Tan's background consists of being a trained medical oncologist and a clinical cancer geneticist. Besides publishing more than 100 original research papers in peer-reviewed journals, he has filed 13 patents with inventions licensed and deployed in laboratories worldwide. Lucence is a precision oncology company founded on a vision of a world without avoidable cancer deaths. Headquartered in Singapore and California, with offices in Hong Kong and Suzhou, the company develops advanced liquid biopsy blood tests that select suitable cancer treatments by molecular profiling.
Chinn leads the Smart Nation Platform Solutions Group at GovTech, and is responsible for the overall management, including the design, development and implementation of technical solutions for the Sensors Platform and Digital Districts.
Chong Jia Yi is a GovTech Distinguished Engineer with deep technical expertise in simulation and animation. He was previously Technical Director at Deep Motion Inc, leading the team for the next-generation C++14 AI/Deep Learning-Driven Cloud-based Physics Simulation Toolkit. Jia Yi also worked with Pixar for close to 10 years, where he developed Physics Simulation and Animation Tools used in popular films such as WALL-E, Toy Story 3 and Up. Jia Yi owns four patents and has published numerous technical articles in ACM Siggraph.
