GitOps is an operational framework that shifts DevOps processes to the Git repository platform as the single source of truth.
Learn about the GitOps workflow, benefits of GitOps in leveraging Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) automation, and how it is being adopted in Government projects such as the Singapore Government Tech Stack (SGTS), Container Stack platform, and the Government Commercial Cloud (GCC).
GovTech speakers Samuel Loh and Ernest Boey will also share various approaches of implementing GitOps for Kubernetes, alongside public sector best practices and strategies for structuring Git.

Speaker
Samuel has been working with GovTech for 6 years on Singapore Tech Stack products, as well as taking on the role of developer advocate, encouraging government agencies to design their systems with microservices and build their infrastructure with Docker containers hosted on the Nectar Platform. As a member of the cross-divisional Cloud Engineering Team at GovTech, he works to improve Government Commercial Cloud and encourage the adoption of cloud native solutions and DevOps practices such as Infrastructure-as-Code. A polyglot programmer, he dabbles in everything, including Linux system administration, Docker containers and public key infrastructure systems.
In his role, Ernest designs the CI/CD workflows for Container Stack, a cloud-based container hosting platform, that are used internally and by other government agencies. These workflows make use of tools and methodologies like GitLab CI and GitOps. He works collaboratively with his stakeholders to set up seamless and automated pipelines and infrastructure for greater productivity and security.
